Magnolia Drive Trail
Project Description
This project provides multimodal connectivity along the entire corridor from South Adams Street to Apalachee Parkway. It is being constructed in phases and in coordination with utility improvements in the area. Construction began in summer 2021.

- Roadway reconstruction
- Underground electric
- Enclosed stormwater drainage system
- Multi-use trail
- Landscape buffers between the path and roadway
Project Status
- Invitation to Bid for Construction for Phase 2 occurred in Q4 2023, and the project received bids from prospective bidders in January 2024.
- The bid award was presented at the meeting for the Leon County Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 20, 2024.
- RFQ for CEI services for Phase 2 was advertised in Q2 2023, and Rummel, Klepper, and Kahl (RK&K) were selected in Q3 2023.
- Phase 1 and 4 are complete.
- Construction commenced in Q2 2024 for Phase 2 (Pontiac to Diamond).
- The design for Phase 3 (Diamond to Apalachee) is 90% complete, and right-of-way acquisition is ongoing.
