Mahan Drive, an arterial roadway serves a dual role as an attractive gateway into our community and as a major traffic corridor for moving both people and goods. In 2013, the Florida Department of Transportation expanded the road from a two-lane to a four-lane facility. The expansion project included the addition of sidewalks, multi-use paths and enhanced landscaping funded by $4 million from Blueprint. The project provides multi-modal connectivity and improved aesthetics along the corridor stretching from Dempsey Mayo Road east to the I-10 interchange.
