Natural Scientist/Biologist applicant posting
The Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency is seeking applicants for the Natural Scientist/Biologist position on the Blueprint Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). The application is available online at CAC Application Form. The Blueprint CAC serves in an advisory capacity to the Blueprint Board of Directors (IA Board), comprised of the Tallahassee City Commissioners and Leon County Board of County Commissioners. It is the responsibility of the CAC to review work plans involving infrastructure projects, financial audits, and performance audits and to make recommendations to the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency.
There are 14 members of the Blueprint CAC, which are appointed by the IA Board following submission of a CAC application, linked below. Members are expected to attend approximately 4 meetings per year. CAC members are also subject to the Florida Sunshine Law (Public Meetings and Public Records), and the Blueprint Ethics Policy.
For the current vacancy, the three-year term will run from December 1, 2023 – December 31, 2026, with the option for reappointment for a second three-year term. Per the Blueprint CAC Bylaws, the IA Board shall take into consideration as part of the selection process those individuals that formerly served on the Economic and Environmental Citizens Committee (EECC), however, previous service on the EECC is not a requirement.
Applications and resumes must be submitted by the close of business on Friday, September 29, 2023. Applications to fill the CAC vacancy will be considered by the CAC at their October 26, 2023 meeting, and by the IA Board at their November 7, 2023 meeting.
